Arrival

When students arrive at school, they’ll unpack their things, put their lunch away, and sign in. After that, they can head over to the free choice centers to relax and explore fun activities before the day starts!

Morning Meeting

During morning meeting, all students come together in the meeting area for our morning session. It's a chance to set the tone for the day, practice math skills through daily calendar activities, number sense exercises, and skill reviews, all while making learning fun and interactive.

Math Block

During math block, students will rotate through math centers and small group instruction to keep things interactive and fun. The centers let students explore different math activities and work with peers, while small group time allows me to work with everyone on their individualized plans.

Literacy Block

We will start our literacy block with a whole group read aloud and literacy lesson. Afterwards, students will rotate through reading and writing centers and small group instruction to keep things interactive and fun. The centers let students explore different literacy activities and work with peers, while small group time allows me to work with everyone on their individualized plans.

Lunch and Outside

After centers, we come together for lunch, giving students the chance to practice life skills like serving themselves, socializing with friends, and cleaning up afterward. Following lunch, we enjoy an extended outdoor time where students can explore a sand and water table, play with bubbles, enjoy the playground, and engage with a variety of balls and toys.

Rest

Rest time will be for about 20 minutes. This will be a time to relax and recharge for our afternoon activities. Students will not be required to take a nap. Students can choose to nap or simply sit in a relaxing environment and look at a book.

Enrichment

After our time outside, we spend the afternoon in enrichment classes. Each afternoon focuses on a specific area, such as science, social studies, directed art, or seasonal activities. These lessons are designed to expand students' understanding of the world while sparking their curiosity and interest in new topics.

End of Day

After enrichment, we come together to clean up the classroom and get ready to go home. Students then gather in the meeting area to reflect on the day, sing songs, enjoy an afternoon snack, and listen to a read-aloud.
